This was my experience when I had my first baby. I had an emergency C-section and was in pain since I couldn't take any pain killers due to my history of asthma.
Sister Anila was patient and understanding not just towards me but to my family who was with me at the hospital.
She guided me every step of the way patiently and explaining why and what pain I was feeling. I specifically remember the day I had to walk for the first time after the surgery.
She was extremely helpful and confidently and compassionately helped me take my first step, cleaned me well and prepare for the fresh start.
She also spent extra time patiently with me and my baby every time we hit a hurdle.
She was firm when required and compassionate when we needed it most, which are fantastic qualities for a caretaker to push a patient towards recovery.
Most importantly, she made it easy to communicate without any signs of irritation or impatience, despite the numerous queries and questions we asked her.
We, as a family and I as a patient, who experienced the care of Sister Anila and her interactions, strongly believe she is a DAISY Nurse.
Her demeanor and gait inspire a lot of confidence. She is an excellent example of a nurse. Thank you.
