Anita is an extraordinary large cog in the wheels that turn our world here at Harrison. Her calm, personable demeanor and extreme attention to detail make her a great RN. The way she communicates immediately sets you at ease. I am sure she has refined her style from years at the bedside. I feel fortunate to be part of the team that works with her.

Anita is the best most organized person and ensures everything stays on track. Anita has a way of bringing staff together on the same team. She is always cheerful and positive. We have only to mention it and Anita follows up on it. For example, with the new standard for glucose checks in preop and recovery it was discussed that we would need the CNAs trained to draw blood and do glucose checks. Anita researched what the requirements were for not only state certification, but also policies for FHS and Harrison. She met with the OR Director and then the Executive Director of Acute Care Services to discuss why we needed CNAs to be able to draw blood, but also what requirements were and how we would train the CNAs. Anita is working with the Lab manager and ER educator to develop our initial PeriAnesthesia training class.

Anita singlehandedly prepares for the yearly YED day for 8 departments. The YED is never just one day. She makes it available on different days and times and finds experts to present. Anita has been an advocate for our department. She has been able to identify what things would be beneficial to our patients and our processes.

I had the pleasure of recently orienting to a new position here in Preop at Bremerton with the help of Anita Stuart. Anita spent a great deal of time organizing information and experiences to ensure a comprehensive and supportive orientation period for me. She did this while supporting several other orientees at the same time. Anita accomplished this through no small feat of communicating with multiple services and departments. The orientation went off without a hitch. She also provided a large informative binder to accompany the experiences and reinforce the vast amount of information that was necessary to begin work in a facility such as ours. She checked in with me frequently throughout the process and was available to me for questions and support whenever I needed. I really appreciate all she did to facilitate a smooth transition for me in this new position.

Anita is a superstar! She is so conscientious in our training and ongoing learning. When I came over to this department, I received the most wonderful thorough training. You could tell that her heart and soul were put into the training binder she set up. I was so lucky to have her as an educator. Anita is the most thoughtful, compassionate educator that I have had the pleasure of working with over the years and we are blessed to have her.

Anita has been in this position several years and owns it. She has worked tirelessly to make sure we are up to date on what is going on with policy and procedure changes, provides as much educational opportunities as she can and consistently closes the loop through excellent communication so you're not left questioning.

Anita organized an educational opportunity that did not require any financial obligation for everyone in PACU and preop from both campuses. She has also made a wonderful orientation process for new hires that can be individualized so that those we hired felt comfortable and would be prepared to work on their own. She takes what she does to heart and it benefits our entire department.

She does what she does, because she loves what she is able to do for our patients and department. Anita is a gifted and compassionate teacher and guide. We are so grateful to her!
