Artisha freely shares stories from her own life to show clients how things have worked out in her own family. Parenting is not an easy job and her clients know how much she cares and wants them to grow in their new role. Artisha keeps trying to visit clients even when life has gotten difficult for some. She includes the family whenever possible to keep the client engaged. Artisha is always working to make sure her clients have everything they need to access resources and services that will help them develop independence in their lives as new mothers. She does not do for them, but enables them to succeed. She is available to share everything she has learned with her coworkers, never too busy or hurried. She goes the extra mile to make sure new employees are trained well. She does not seem to tire of helping other nurses without frustration or bias of any kind.

The Nurse Family Partnership is a program that delivers home visits to first time mothers from pregnancy until their babies turn 2 years of age. This long term relationship based care takes a special set of skills. Artisha has clients who consistently stay in the program and meet many of their goals. Many of them send pictures or call her to let her know when they have a success-graduating from nursing school, high school or college. She has a legacy of mothers who have amazing outcomes following her time with them. She is the most organized of the Nurse Home visitors and shares her ideas with the other employees. She is frequently organizing the office and trying to make the flow of the materials and curriculum more easily accessible. Artisha represents Parkland and the Nurse Family Partnership with integrity and such a sweet spirit.
