Ashley Blair was R's LVAD Coordinator and she was so knowledgeable about the procedure and what to do after. Let me tell you dealing with my wife is a chore itself as she is a compulsive worrier. Ashley handled her like a pro. She was so caring and understanding, no matter how many times my wife would call her, text her, or email her, she would answer her. Ashley would even sometimes call her if she sensed she was upset. One day we never received our supplies and she went out of her way to meet her with supplies before she went home.

Ashley goes above and beyond the call of duty. Calling us back when we had a problem even when she was on vacation. She really treats you like one of the family. When I was coming out of anesthesia and they took me off the ventilator I was still groggy from the meds. All I remember seeing was a cloudy, blurry, pretty girl looking at me in a white coat. She looked like she had wings. Again, I was on a lot of drugs. I thought to myself, "Did I die? Am I in heaven?" I remember hearing Ashley ask, "Do you remember who I am?" My reply was, in a joyful voice, "Yeaaaa. You're my guardian angel." With a big smile on her face, she laughed. We developed a great friendship in a short time, only having LVAD for 2 months. She even waited after work to come to my room to tell me the good news, that I received a heart. I could see the excitement on her face.
