We had the pleasure of meeting Beth Hicks after many, many office visits to different specialists at Henry Ford for multiple medical problems my mother-in-law has been dealing with for many years. Beth was a breath of fresh air! Her people skills were so professional yet warm, caring and genuine.

There isn’t one story to tell, but I feel more important than one story is her consistency. Every visit to see Dr. Luck is a pleasure, considering we see Dr. Luck quite frequently for Mom’s very difficult problem. Beth works very well with Dr. Luck and they make a wonderful team. Over the past few months I’ve lost count of the number of visits we’ve made to see Dr. Luck and Beth. Not only have we finally made progress and have been given hope for help we feel like family. Every visit we are greeted with compassion, competence and consistency. We leave every visit feeling like we couldn’t have been treated any better.

People always say “treat people the way you want to be treated”. Sounds nice but, rarely happens. Except at Dr. Luck’s office, this always happens! As many different offices we have been to over the years, never have we felt treated with such wonderful consistency. This is the standard all health care workers should strive for! Beth treats us like we are the only patient for the day. She ALWAYS has a warm smile to greet us and caring attitude. Always! Even over the phone you can hear her smile. She is the very first person that has followed through each and every time with any task needed. This is also done in a very timely manner. This type of treatment I believe is more important and special than any one single experience.

Beth is a very caring, compassionate and competent nurse. Her attitude and manner with patients, family and co-workers should be the standard all employees should strive for and exemplifies the mission, vision and value of the entire Henry Ford Health System.
