Bob is ALWAYS professional, kind, concerned and caring with all of his patients. He constantly treats his coworkers with dignity and respect. He is always so pleasant and helps boost morale in the emergency room. He is well respected among his peers. He is an excellent example of an outstanding employee! Bob is super creative in helping patients arrive at the best decision possible for their safety and health.
One night we had an intoxicated gentleman come into the ER with a dog bite from an unknown dog. There was no reasoning with the man; he was refusing his rabies shot. First he said he would get the rabies shot if he could have a sandwich, so Bob gave him a sandwich. After the gentleman was done eating his sandwich, he refused the rabies shot. The ER staff had tried everything to attempt to reason with this gentleman, but given his current state of mind, it seemed all but impossible. So Bob decided to befriend him and they started talking about TV shows as the man was very interested in the scary movie that was on the television. Bob had asked the man if he liked zombies and of course he said YES! Bob then asked him if he knew how people turned into zombies? The gentleman thought for a minute and said, "Umm, not really." Bob said that he had heard but didn't know if it was true that sometimes they get rabies and turn into a zombie. Needless to say, the man thought for a minute and got his rabies shot.
