It was our first stay at a hospital, as a mom all I wanted was for my baby to feel better. On his third night in the hospital, Brian noticed that my son's IV might be making him fussy and uncomfortable and he went above and beyond. He and his partner came in at 1 am ready, prepared, and determined to make my son feel better with a new IV. My son also needed a sample drawn for a lab test and Brian did it all. My son is not an easy poke but Brian didn't give up on him. He did the IV, as hard as it was, drew the blood for the lab, and made sure he was comfortable. His intuition about the IV was spot on. My son was happier, went to sleep and stopped fussing. On top of that, he thanked me for being so strong for my son, something I really needed to hear.
