My husband, B was diagnosed at age 56 with Multiple Myeloma in December 2016. He went through 4 rounds of chemotherapy and then had a stem cell transplant May 2017. Christina is the stem cell coordinator and we got to know her through time spent in the infusion center as well as during all of B's aftercare beyond the transplant. B developed severe peripheral neuropathy after his chemo and was in severe constant pain. It was determined that he needed to see a neurologist and we were told there were no open appointments until approximately 4 months later. When Christina found out about the severity of B's pain, she went above and beyond her duties to make sure B could be seen sooner. It was within days of when we spoke that he was seen by a physician.
Our family is so grateful for Christina's exceptional, compassionate care and thankful she saw B's need and made sure he was getting helped. I also had an insurance issue that I needed help with and knew that Christina was who I could go to for help to take care of it. She helped us in a timely, efficient and compassionate manner and once again we were grateful. Christina is an understanding, kind, and beautiful human. We are blessed to have her as B's nurse and kind-hearted advocate.
