Christine Fearon saved my brother's life. In August 2017, my brother was brought into the ER with a high fever and two blood infections. My brother is a 51-year-old diabetic and has been living with complications of his diabetes for 4 years. When he was brought into Clara Maass, Christine instantly assessed the situation, taking into account his 104 fever, his previous medical history, and recurrent infections. Christine urged the primary care physician to come to the hospital on his day off to evaluate him. Dr. J. performed emergency surgery that same day, and then consulted with his infectious disease doctor to prescribe a new course of antibiotics to address his infections. Christine's compassion and concern led to the actions the doctors took, that I believe, saved my brother's life. I believe that Christine saved his life because his doctors' had advised me that his blood infections could result in death, and the condition in which he was brought into the Clara Maass ER was near fatal. Thank you so much, Christine.
