Christine Peace demonstrates all three attributes of PSA Healthcare's mission: taking action, giving care, and building trust, on a daily basis. Christine works in an elementary school based setting with a client who has multiple as well as complicated health care needs. She works with and interacts with many different school district staff members throughout the work week. She clearly demonstrates these qualities during her interactions with these people and the students of the school in which she works.
Christine is proactive in her approach to her client's school day. She has a positive caring attitude to not only her own client but to the other children in the classroom and that she comes in contact with outside of the classroom. She greets both students and staff in a friendly manner and helps initiate positive interactions between her client and other students. During each and every time there has been a situation in which her client has shown distress, possible seizure activity, or when staff has had a question about the client's care, Christine is proactive in meeting the need.
She continuously goes above and beyond in caring for her client by assisting with all aspects of her client's educational program. A clear example of this is when implementing the client's walking program. Christine will not only attend with the client, she will help urge her client to walk by walking in front of her client either holding an enticing toy that makes noise or verbally encouraging the client to keep going. This kind of supportive behavior continues throughout the school day in all aspects of the client's day.
She has developed a trusting relationship with the staff at the school her client attends. Related service providers and the classroom teacher find her a joy to work with because she is caring in her approach with her client as well as dependable. She listens and asks relevant, helpful questions about her client's program and follows through with the information provided to her. She is able to see where she can be useful and quick to assist accordingly. Her client's school program is better because of Christine Peace's involvement.
She is an asset not only to her client, her client's family, but also to the children and staff of our school.
