My father was admitted to the 3T. We had the most amazing experience with Connie caring for him that night. Connie's interpersonal skills and assessment skills were outstanding. As an experienced nurse I understand and appreciate nurses doing thorough assessments. Connie showed great decision-making skills related to the assessment findings and collaborated professionally with the physician.

One could say this is an expectation and I agree, however, Connie performed these activities in the most professional, caring manner than we had ever experienced as a patient and family. Connie made us feel as though Dad was her only patient and that we were her only patient family. It is really hard to explain how she made us feel. We have great people providing quality care here, but Connie created a feeling of trust, respect and confidence that was strong and abounding. It was without a doubt the most amazing patient-family care experience.

Connie was very patient as my Dad asked many questions and she was always poised and polite. She never mentioned having to do something for another patient; she truly focused on us. It was a feeling that my extended family noticed as well. She made us feel as though we were guests and her goal was obvious - to provide excellent service. It was like we were at a luxury resort and folks catering to our every need.

This experience really overwhelmed us and we are still talking about it. We felt very special and we were confident that my father was receiving excellent care.
