My father went into your E.R. department for severe left knee pain. He was admitted with a diagnosis of pseudo-gout and sent for observation with severe swelling to the left knee. I met two other nurses during his stay at MacNeal. The nurses were very friendly, knowledgeable and nice. However, on my Sunday visit, Cynthia walked in and introduced herself and said she will be my father's nurse for the day. She then became responsive to my father's care by asking pertinent questions and also being attentive to details. Cynthia communicated some words in Spanish and I was impressed with her knowledge of Spanish. In summary, I would like to thank all the staff on 45 South for all they do. I would like to especially express my appreciation to Cynthia Lowell for her compassion in patient care, quick response, attention to details, and knowledge. After witnessing her passion, I felt comfortable leaving my dad in her care. Thank you all for your passion! Again, thank you, Cynthia Lowell, and take care!
