I am writing this letter of thank you today as I have just returned to my home after my morning with my parents at the VA. Every day I have with them is a gift and you all are making it possible for us to keep unwrapping.
We have waitedvery patiently to feel the reprieve that you have given us and for the first time in a very long time, we are able to put our minds at ease knowing what great care you are providing for our father.
It was a real pleasure to meet all who have been assisting and servicing with Dad's care this morning. Each and every one at that meeting this morning is to be commended, as well as Cindy. Everyone has been so very warm and caring, pleasant, professional, reassuring and knowledgeable. This also includes staff we have met and those behind the lines that we have not. You have made us all feel like family.
I personally, left knowing today that my dad was not only getting the quality of care he is accustomed to from the VA, but also the very best care thanks to Cindy and your wonderful caring staff.
I am so proud of my father for all of his achievements that he has made towards healing in such a short time since his arrival and so very thankful for you and your very determined staff to oversee that.
Thank you for giving him the time. Thank you for giving all of his family more time. Time goes by so very quickly and sadly, the one thing there is just not enough of, and we can never get it back.
I just wanted you to know how much we (Dad, Mom, all five of my brothers and me) appreciate all of your efforts in making sure Dad returns home safely by providing us with such a wonderful blessing because of your care and support in just a few short days. It amazes us.
Thank you. There just wasn't a Hallmark card worthy enough of letting you know how we felt.
