Dasherm was the first to care for my mother upon her having a stroke. This was her 1st stroke and she was very scared. He took the time to explain all of the procedures and why they were going to be done. Dasherm was very personable when explaining and made sure she felt comfortable. He introduced himself to us (the kids) and took down our names and numbers just in case and gave us the information in case we needed to call. Dasherm was sure to hand off my mom to the next nurse and said his goodbyes and how he may be back in the morning. Dasherm worked the next day, but had a new patient, but that didn't not stop him from coming to say hello and check on my mom and me.
On Monday, my mom had an appointment to see an orthopedic at 2pm. She was sure to tell everyone and how she couldn't miss the appointment. Many nurses and doctors didn't seem too worried, but said they would try. Dasherm came in about 12:45 to get the discharge orders rolling. He worked this magic and got the discharge possible in time for her to shower (bringing a shower chair and supplies) and even ordered transport to the 12th floor for her appointment. Dasherm has shown compassion for my mother and built a rapport with her. Dasherm's urgency showed my mom now much he cared. I am thankful he was her nurse the 1st day and came back to visit.
