Deb was my nurse twice. When I first got here, then I was flighted to another facility, and when I came back she became my nurse again. She is very pleasant, caring, a great person to talk to. She understood everything I was going through and now she wishes the best for me because I have to have surgery and I’m scared and lying in my bed, and she took the time to come in and let me know everything was gonna be ok. And if I ended up back in here, she would find me just to say hello.

Whenever my family would come to visit, she treated them with the utmost respect. She was working on a different pod than I was on but I walked to the waiting room one evening to watch a storm that was coming in and I saw her over at this pod and asked her to come look at the storm with me. She took 2, maybe 3 minutes to say hello, peek at the storm, and tell me if she got a different pod maybe she’d see me. Turned out she did and was my nurse for the second time.

Today is my last day with nurse Deb. I leave on Monday. She has the weekend off, but she was very concerned today about a few things that wasn’t changed on me. Or, wasn’t looked into and reminding people that patients do have the right to refuse any medicine.

Deb, I will pray you go a long ways in your life. Gonna miss you! You’re the bestest lady (nurse) out there. And thank you very much for your kindness. I just can’t thank you enough! You made my stay pleasant and speedy.
