My daughter was born at 32.5 weeks, weighing 3lbs 14oz, 16 inches long, fighting for her life as hello syndrome and low platelets had us both very ill. I had no idea what a roller coaster ride I had just hopped on but we learned quick. My husband and I were there faithfully helping nurture our beauty to good health with the help of Debbie teaching us along the way. I remember the first time our daughter had a brady and she coached us the whole way or how absolutely hard it was to watch our daughter take 12 steps forward and 30 steps back but Debbie was there to wipe my tears and give me the strength to believe tomorrow was another day for more obstacles to beat for her! No two days were ever the same. She was my rock, my husband was our provider so he was at work most days so alone I would go heartbroken and exhausted but there was Debbie teaching me, guiding me and never afraid of telling me if I wasn't doing something right. "Make sure you are washing your hands for the whole time". My daughter loved her and I can honestly say my daughter is a beautiful healthy now 1-year-old thriving and taking obstacles down every day because she taught me how to be a better mother to not only my preemie but my son as well. Thank You, Debbie, I am blessed to have witnessed a living angel in you.
