“Diane took care of our daughter for almost two months during her stay in the NICU when her condition was most critical. Our daughter was born a micro-preemie in your hospital at 27 weeks old at only 1lb, 4oz. At about the length of my hand with skin you could see through, our tiny daughter's condition was fragile and shaky at the time of her birth. I cannot begin to tell you about the level of care that Diane provided not only to our daughter, but also the friendship and compassion she showed my wife and me. Honestly, it is hard to crystallize the significance of what Diane meant to us using words but I will try.

First of all, Diane's nursing skills are beyond exceptional. She is a true professional as a nurse. Diane is not only skillful, but confident and well poised. This is especially evident during those critical moments a calm, cool presence is really required. Her background in respiratory therapy combined with nursing and her PICC line experience really helped our daughter a lot. In addition, Diane's attentiveness to detail, tenderness and care at times was so incredible that it made us feel like we had a family member watching over our precious baby girl. While neither my wife nor I have seen or spoken with Diane since we left Kaiser San Francisco in October, we still feel like Diane is family. She not only took care of our baby but also held our hands during this trying time in our lives. Diane was always there to comfort us and we appreciate it.”
