From the moment Dominique Diggs introduced herself with a smile, she told me if I should need anything to let her know. At 8 AM I was set to go to a test I've been waiting for since Saturday when I was told about it. While at the test they realize after numerous time of trying that my shoulder was dislocated and couldn't continue until after the ortho doctor relocated it.
By this time, you could imagine the pain I was in. The tech doing the test called Dominque and after 3 mins she was there. She gave me the pain medicine and she walked me back upstairs. From then on she called my doctor multiple times; 1st trying to get me answers, 2nd trying to get me comfortable, and 3rd she's been in every 15 to 20 mins to make sure I don't need anything or to just make sure I am ok!
Dominique said sorry at least 30 times because we don't have any response due to my doctor being in surgery. I've been in the Marines for 13 years and as a Marine, Honor, Courage, and Commitment are the values that guide us, and I see as an RN those values are what guide her every day as she helps us as patients feel better and take one step closer to going home! Thank you, Dominique Diggs.
