Donna's attention to detail, compassion, problem-solving skills, and the respectful care that she demonstrated not only to us but in particular to our 97-year-old mother, was impressive. Throughout her shift, Donna was focused on following the doctor's orders of meds needed relating to blood pressure, positioning, and updating the communication board - excellent attention to detail. Her compassionate tone throughout her communication was remarkable. She frequently checked to verbally ensure there was not any discomfort. When we posed questions, she returned to our satisfaction to solve our issue. Finally, we especially appreciate how respectful she was. With every interaction, she took care of our mother.

Donna was so compassionate, attentive, caring, and knowledgeable. She was so thoughtful with our family, keeping us constantly informed and explained things thoroughly. She answered all questions completely and offered explanations before we had even formed our questions. She gave us information about when the doctors would be here to see our mom and offered to call to get them here. When she sensed the family was concerned or confused about what a doctor said, she explained and eased our worry. Although she had another patient, it felt like our mom was her only patient. In addition to all of the above, we appreciate her kindness.

Not often do you meet a nurse with so much happiness, compassion, and an overwhelming sense of what nursing needs to be. In taking care of my granddaughter, she showed so much compassion in understanding her story and treated her always with a very caring attitude. She finds out the story about the patient's family. Daily, she would ask if there was anything I needed and talked to me for what seemed was hours. After she was no longer our caregiver, she would visit us on the days she was working, and the hugs she would give me meant so much. This type of nurse doesn't come around often.
