Our 91-year-old mother was admitted with pneumonia. Eliza's care was beyond exceptional. She showed so much love to Mom and joy in all she had to do to care for her. She made mom laugh and smile. She gave this southern woman her dignity. Although, Mom had two daughters with her at all times, the only time we both felt peace to rest and nap was when she was under Eliza's care. She was on it! We never had to call her, she came whenever she told us she would come back. She told us what she was doing each time so we understood everything. She always asked if we had questions and was completely competent to get any requests completed, such as housekeeping. She never forgot to check to see if she needed to use bathroom and to check for sores. She monitored that area and continually applied cream. she consistently came to change her sleeping position so mom was not in any position too long. She asked if she wanted to sit in a recliner for comfort. No wonder Mom loved her! We truly believe she was a contributing factor to Mom's progressively upward progress. Although, my sister and I tried our best, but we are not professional nurses. We decided to let Mom stay one night more only because Eliza was on the shift that night. We thank Eliza for her special gift and insights to us all.
