My husband was brought to St. James by ambulance at about 7:30 (am). He was admitted to the 5th floor around 12:00 noon. Emily took care of him until about 6:30 pm then he went to ICU and emergency surgery by 7:30 pm. As I sit here wondering if my husband will live or die, I can't help but think of Emily. She really is an angel in disguise.
From the moment Emily took over, she took ownership with such compassion and dedication. She was like a mother duck watching over her duckling. She was constantly by his side, watching him like a hawk and administering to him. She has superb skills and kept me well informed. Emily has such a soft heart and caring spirit. She was of such comfort for me. Not to mention the fact that she called the ICU nurse due to her concerns for my husband.
Emily is an outstanding nurse and an awesome individual. God Bless you my dear Emily and thank you so much for everything you do.
