My son had a very rough start to the Golytely process. The day shift went from 200 ccs to 300 ccs in under 3 hours. My son vomited it all out as it was such a high dose too soon. Eric started his shift and came in and introduced himself and immediately made contact with my son and asked how he was feeling. He explained to me and Grandmother why his experience so far had been so rough. Eric wanted to start the process beginning at 50 ccs and raise it every hour on the hour so it wouldn't be so harsh. He reassured my son constantly that he would be ok. Eric was very positive and understanding of my son's feelings and pain. He kept on him with anything he needed whether it was a fresh gown or underwear, socks, fluids, and bedding in the event of an accident. The bathroom was always left clean after he went potty. He watched him on how the Golytely was working. Eric answered any and all of our questions to the best of his knowledge. At one point I got frustrated and anxious and wanted answers. He sat and listened to my concerns and had a doctor come when they were available and stood in while answers were provided. He made sure to remind me it was ok if I needed fresh air and he would keep an eye on my child if I needed time to re-center. He reminded me of the importance of Mommy being ok too. When my son was not much for the process, Nurse Eric was friendly and joking to get him to smile and even when he didn't want to smile he felt safe with Nurse Eric because he was very committed to the care and wellbeing of my son. There is so much more I could say as well as my family members on the way he performed his job. He is an outstanding nurse.

I was very amazed by Eric's attitude with my great-grandson and how he attended to him. He is outstanding for working with children and parents. God bless Eric for being gifted to work with children the way he does. He never took long to do rounds. He was very patient and always available when needed.
