Irene made me feel as though she had taken me under her wing and genuinely cared for my wellbeing. She always made sure I was properly hydrated. She constantly checked my levels of pain and would make it her goal to assure me that the pain got better and so did I. She was right. She made it her responsibility to tell me to "take it slow" or "easy now." She was just naturally born with the skills to care for her fellow human beings and make them feel special as she did for me. She made sure I was warm or made sure I wouldn't get too warm. She kept me clean and guided me to the restroom and back to bed. She tucked me in at night. She would adjust my pillows for me. She also went out of her way for me just so I could save my sandwiches and found a clear plastic container. We learned together how to adjust the new CPAP head gear. She wished me a good night and asked me to push the button for anything. A true human being caring for another human being is something I have learned from a real professional. Irene, thank you so much.

Irene would come to aid in an instant. She taught me how to relax by showing me how much she cared. Her example should be followed and used for further new hires and her skills become standardized. She is the epitome of the word "caregiver." Her specialties include the use of the compass that is her heart.
Thank you, Irene. You kept me clean and you spoke to me with dignity. Your loving personality will bring you closer to your goals. My heart is filled with gratitude and memories that will change my attitude and will continue to inspire me for years to come. I will never forget your kindness.

Note: This is Irene's 2nd DAISY Award!
