A day I will never forget... a special day I will never forget... a special person I will never forget is Jamie. As I went into labor, things were going great, as expected. I was dilated to 10 and was ready to meet my sweet baby girl. All of a sudden, I began to realize that there was a room full of people and began to grasp the fact something was wrong. As the traffic of the nurses and doctors seem to be a blur, hearing the doctor tell me I was going to have an emergency C-section was petrifying. The doctor meant "emergency" when he said it, as I could feel every bit of the C-section. The staff knew what they were doing though. Even though it was painful, it was beyond worth it for my healthy baby girl. I remember my body shaking uncontrollably from the shock of having to go through this without being numb. As the pain was indescribable, I remember looking at Jamie and felt a sense of comfort. She was my focus point. She knew what she was doing, and I knew she was there to take care of me. When everything was happening, it was hard to feel comfort or relief at all, but Jamie was who I looked at to grasp that feeling. I can't thank any of the staff enough but especially Jamie for being there for me and the way she cared for me through this process. She truly loves what she's doing! Thank you. You're a great nurse.
