Jamie was my admitting nurse to Labor and Delivery. Her kindness and compassion was greatly appreciated but she really became so much more than that during the course of my labor. She became a very calming presence and our rock. Unfortunately, she had to leave prior to my baby being born. When she came back the next evening, we were lucky enough to have her assigned to us. Jamie spent a significant amount of time with us throughout the night educating us, helping with my post labor pains, managing my nausea and being 110% supportive. Although the unit was very busy while we were there, she never made us feel rushed. Lucky enough for us, we had Jamie assigned to us the last night we stayed and she was once again amazing. She spent time ensuring we were in the best position possible to go home. Even though this was not our first baby and we knew the basics, Jamie made sure we really felt comfortable with our new bundle of joy and that we had all the support we needed. After my traumatic delivery, I honestly could not have asked for a better nurse. She was just what we needed! Thanks to her we had an amazing experience.

At a time in my life where things did not go as planned with the birth of my son, Jamie was so accommodating and kind. I was vulnerable and emotional, and Jamie's calm demeanor and reassurance helped make my stay part of my fond memories that were created. Jamie's loving heart and drive for excellence should be recognized.

We could not have asked for a better nurse! Caring, compassionate, informative, and prompt. Made us all feel very comfortable. She helped make breastfeeding effortless. When we needed sleep, she helped us get it. Thank you, Jamie, for our wonderful experience.

I have read many patient nominations over the last few years, but none have spoken to the attributes of the nurse like those for Jamie Veilleux. Her patients speak to her kindness, her great calming presence. They consider her their rock and the person responsible for their amazing experiences.
Jamie does not receive enough accolades for all she does. She deeply cares for the patients to which she is assigned. She makes them feel like they are her top priority. She is accommodating, supportive, giving, and kind. She advocates for them and creates positive experiences for them that they will never forget.
Jamie deserves to be recognized for her contributions to the Maternity & Pediatric team. She will rearrange her schedule at a moment's notice or fill a hole to help the unit, or trade shift to help her peer. She is a resource and a mentor.
