My journey with nurse Janet Tran began two decades ago when I was 18 years old and pregnant with my first child. Memorial City hospital would become my official hospital to go to. One evening I went into a sickle cell crisis and I was admitted into the hospital on 2-south in a semiprivate room, with another patient. I was in so much pain, that I prayed nonstop to God to take my pain away.
Then all of a sudden, I saw this short petite lady dressed in all white who I thought was an angel who turned out to be nurse Janet Tran. Over the years, Janet has become my angel, she always uplifting my spirits, encouraging me, praying for me and with me. Janet is always going over and beyond her call of duty. When she is in my room working with me and I need something from my PCA she will do whatever it is so that I wouldn't have to bother my PCA.
Yesterday evening during the middle of the night I wasted my cup of water all over my self and bed and without hesitation, Janet changed my bedding and clothes. She never complained once about anything. She has been my nurse for over 20 years and is truly my angel from above. Janet is considered my family and I love her for always staying true to herself and being passionate about what she does.
Every time I'm admitted into the hospital and I'm brought up to the 7th floor I start looking for those little white scrubs. There is not a day that goes by without me telling Janet how much she means to me and how much I appreciate all that she does for myself and her other patients. Janet has a beautiful smile and soul to go with her personality. Keep up the excellent work Janet. I love you and you will always have a special place in my heart.
