Working in the Cath Lab, we provide 24/7 coverage for cardiac emergencies, aka STEMIs. This past Friday night after leaving, our STEMI team was called back for an emergency. The patient was critical, and we had to call a CODE in the lab. Jessica was a member of the team that responded and she took responsibility for recording. Before this lengthy case was over, we were notified by the Emergency Room that there was another STEMI in the ER. When our first case was completed, Jessica went back to her floor to finish her shift. Then she came back down and helped us with the next case and then yet another one. We had three STEMI emergencies in one evening which is totally unheard of. Jessica stayed and worked along with us in her calm and competent way until we were done. We were all very thankful for the extra pair of hands that evening. She showed the best qualities of a healthcare professional with dedication to her colleagues, her patients, and her profession.
