Jessica went over and beyond to show her care and compassion. When she rounded and I was upset due to a breakdown in communication regarding my care plan and discharge plan. I was experiencing severe pain due to a blood clot and my port was not functional and I was required to have multiple venipunctures to monitor my heparin levels. She took the time to sit down and itemize all of my concerns and notified the physician and consults to address each of my concerns. She even printed out interventions for each of my concerns after the doctor placed orders. She explained to me how my care plan would change after each order was entered and at the end of her shift she rounded again to give oncoming nurse my updates. She smiled through this entire process and made me feel comforted.
