It is with great pleasure and sincerity that I recommend JilAnn Hauge for the DAISY award because she is an extraordinary nurse. She deserves this award. Jil exemplifies quality nursing.
Jil keeps everyone on a positive note; she will always find the best in everyone. She actively advocates for patients and staff, consistently. Jill is well loved by her peers, the physicians, as well other disciplines. Jul treats everyone as a valued team member. She is a true leader and positive role model for not just the unit, but the hospital as well.
Jil is dedicated and sincere about the care she gives to her patients. I truly appreciate her and whish that all nurses had her attitude, professionalism, dedication, smile patience, and tolerance level. Jil always enters into a patient’s room with a smile on her face. She shows compassion and concern toward the whole patient. She is sensitive to the personal nature of health care, and does everything we can to earn the trust of her patients and peers. She strives to proto promote peace of mind and relieve anxiety. She creates a lasting impression. She treats every patient as if he/she is the most important person in the hospital.
As staff members, she appreciates our unique talents and varied backgrounds come together to create a stronger whole. Jil recognizes our accomplishments and hard work to make St. Joseph Medical Center, the best place to work, practice medicine and receive care. Jil communicates clearly and effectively. She listens attentively to everyone to understand their needs and to ensure they comprehend information she provides to them. Jil is all about teamwork. She builds others up; she shares in successes, failures, information and ideas. Jil is especially adept at listening and responding with empathy. She is proactive in making amends, even in difficult situations. Jil will always greet people with a smile and “Hello”, is there anything else I can do for you? She does this whether speaking to a patient or co-worker. She makes tough decisions, brings solutions when we need them, clearly understand how to work with other departments is aware of physician preferences and is especially skilled at identifying patients expectations.
Jil is very loyal to our patients and our organization. She serves as a role model for all behavior standards. Anyone would be proud to watch her handles a difficult situation. She performs under pressure with grace and the outcome is usually a win-win situation where everyone walks away looking at the solutions rather than the challenge that started everything. She does this no matter who she needs to work with to take care of an issue. I learn from her every day.
