Julie cared for a patient who was prescribed a much-needed medication at discharge that cost approximiately $2000 per month. The patient could not afford the medication, and during a routine discharge phone call follow-up, Julie discovered that the patient did not have the prescription filled. Julie took it upon herself to find a way to help the patient. Thanks to Julie, the patient was able to receive an application for the Patient Assistance Program (PAP). The patient was very happy and thankful for this act of kindness. Congratulations Julie for demonstrating excellence and compassion.
