Karen is one of the most genuinely kind and caring nurses I know. She has a calm, soothing presence to go along with her expertise. When I was a patient in the ER, I was so comforted to see her there. Being a patient in the ER is quite often scary, and she has a very gentle way of putting patients at ease.
I have also occasionally worked alongside her in the ER and have seen just how compassionate and caring she is with all of her patients, even the ones who are challenging. She treats everyone with dignity and kindness, regardless of their circumstances.
As a Med-Surg and OB nurse, I have received patients from Karen being admitted to the hospital, and I am always impressed with how well she has gotten to know her patients and they feel very well cared for by her. I have heard this many, many times. She makes the transition for them much more comforting, and much less scary.
While I work with many wonderful and caring nurses, Karen is the best example of an extraordinary nurse, bringing compassion, kindness, and caring to all.
