We had a patient here for a transplant who was previously an avid scuba diver. The patient was saddened by the reality that she would no longer be able to scuba dive. Kelli created an underwater scuba scene with fish and a scuba diver and put it up in the patient's room. The patient shared with our Director how meaningful that gesture was to her.

Kelli makes creative signs for her patients. This patient had just received her stem cell transplant which is also referred to as your new birthday. Kelli hung a sign up in her room. When I rounded on the patient she raved about how beautiful it was. She said, "I feel so special."

Kelli created a painting of a scripture/prayer that was read by the priest when our patient's cells were blessed before transplant. She framed it and presented it to the patient. The patient was so touched by this thoughtful gesture. What an amazing way to capture such a momentous event for this patient!
