Kendra took care of our dad during a very scary time for us. He suffered a cardiac arrest at home and we were unsure of what his outcome would be. Kendra took care of our dad when he was being extubated and she gave us the reassurance she would do everything she could to help give us our dad back. The way she communicated with our dad and our family took many of our nerves and anxiety away. Kendra cared so much about the outcome of our dad and truly added the human touch to health care. Not only is Kendra extremely knowledgeable and an excellent nurse, she is a true example of an excellent person. She is a true example of what compassion really is. When our father was very emotional and tearful trying to grasp what had happened at home, she grabbed his hand and told him he was doing so amazing and that the hard part is over. She encouraged him to keep working hard because he had such a great support system who will help him through this. Her smile brought my dad and our family much ease. Kendra treated our dad exactly as she would have her own family. As a nurse, I was terrified knowing what I know, but also knowing what I don't know. Kendra reassured me she would do everything in her power to help us get our dad back and she did. Thank you, Kendra!
