Recently my grandmother had a stroke. I still replay the phone call I received from my husband that morning. I could barely get out of my chair, my heart sunk to my stomach and tears rolled down my face. Needless to say, I was terrified and could not get to the EC fast enough, I think I ran the whole way from Cardiology. A couple of days later we met Kendra, what a sweetheart she is! Nurses like her remind me of why I am in the healthcare field and why I am on my way to becoming a nurse. She was one of the sweetest nurses I think I have ever met. She definitely went above and beyond making us feel like a part of her own family. I'll be honest, I'm funny about my granny and who takes care of her and how she's treated, just as you would be yours. I appreciate Kendra's kindness and her compassion from the bottom of my heart. I can only hope to be half of the nurse she is one day. Thank you just isn't enough, but it is all I have right now. So, thank you!
