Our daughter was born 7 weeks premature and went into the NICU. Keri was her caregiver for the first 6 days of life. She was supportive, compassionate and educational. There wasn’t a day gone by that she wasn’t keeping us informed of As’ growth and development. Keri displayed dedication to her job working 6 days straight, we had the pleasure of having her as A’s nurse during that time. Even when a normal person would be exhausted and on edge, Keri remained professional and positive.

I believe Keri exemplifies what the DAISY Award stands for. She is an asset to the hospital, the NICU, and above all, the parents of the children she cares for. She lives each day to make the world a better place through her interactions with the infants in the NICU as well as their parents, guardians. Keri is the type of person to make situations lighter. Whenever we would see her, whether it was downstairs or in the Special Care Nursery, she would always tell us a funny story about her grandson or even a joke or two. She does her best to keep the atmosphere light, especially when most of the parents she deals with have been in the department for awhile we feel that she deserves the DAISY Award due to her dedication to her job & the hospital, as well as her experience as a NICU Nurse.

If we could, we would like to take Keri Wu home with us when we are able to go. But we know that the other babies in the nursery need her experience for them to get the care they need.
