I have the privilege of daily rounding on patients in the Advanced Care Unit. I am usually greeted with generic responses from patients about the nurses being "good" or "nice" except when the patients are talking about night nurse Kevin Bilby. The patients become very descriptive of how Kevin provided them with the best possible care.
On numerous occasions, patients and families have commended him for his "fantastic", "thorough", "caring" and "pleasant" demeanor and nursing care. They describe him as "informative", providing "great education" and has a knack for "helping to ease the nerves of patients and their families" during the most stressful times. In addition to his role in patient care, Kevin has been praised by Bed Management Staff for his positive interactions and teamwork approach to patient placement.
We are so lucky to have Kevin on our team. He is an all-around great guy and nurse that is admired by coworkers and patients for his professionalism, expertise, and nursing care.
