I would like to recognize Kevin for his compassionate care and the understanding he portrays while caring for his patients. I was admitted to the hospital at midnight and it was a very emotional situation for me. I had just been discharged and called back to come in. A nurse tried starting an IV on me and stuck me several times with no success. When I called Kevin to try an IV, he came without hesitating and listened to me as I directed him to a place I knew there was an easy vein (I'm a nurse too). He gently and patiently put the IV in. When we finally had the IV, you could see how happy and relieved he was, knowing how important it was for me to have the IV. I was able to start my antibiotics that night. Kevin kept checking on me to make sure I was ok. My night was made better by his touch and genuine concern. Kevin seems to love what he does and does it with grace and poise.
