Kevin is an exceptional nurse who is caring and compassionate with excellent clinical skills. Kevin took care of my mother earlier this year. Although he was very busy, he made my mom feel as though she was his only patient. Kevin never seemed rushed or hurried, he took time to make sure all her questions were answered and that she had everything she needed before he left her room. Kevin made a point of getting to know my mother as a person, not an 86 year old with multiple health issues. Kevin stopped to visit my mother often, he would sit down (as though he has all the time in the world to talk to her) and asked her about her life. Kevin asked how she met my father, what things they did together, what life was like when she was growing up, etc. My mother loved talking about my father and her younger years, it meant so much to her and lifted her spirits during a difficult time. In May, my mother was readmitted and Kevin noticed her going down the hallway on a stretcher and immediately went over to say hello. She was thrilled to see a familiar face. When my mother was transferred to CCU, Kevin visited her again, reassuring her that she was in good hands. Kevin incorporates every quality a nurse should have, he is a true DAISY Nurse.
