Kim took care of us and our 17 day old daughter during the worst night of our lives since having children (we also have a 2 year old little girl). Our little one had a fever so she had to have quite a few tests done and we were a mess of emotions. Kim was understanding and supportive from the first moment and helped us feel we were making the right decision to have the tests done through her encouragement and also asking the attending MD to come talk to us. As a newly breastfeeding mom, I needed some lanolin, but hadn't packed any. Kim tried to get me some from multiple departments but was unable to since I wasn't the patient. We found out that she stayed over 3 hours past her time to leave to make sure we got up to our room okay. She was supposed to leave at 11 pm and we got in our room around 2AM. At about 3AM, she stuck her head in and said she was able to get us some lanolin and left it in our room. In the morning when I woke up I saw the lanolin was in a Walgreens bag. After leaving 3 hours late she had run by Walgreens and bought me lanolin and then dropped it off in our room!

I am blown away and humbled by Kim's compassion for our family and willingness to sacrifice her time, money, and extra effort on our behalf. The whole night in the ED is a bit of a blur of emotions and heartache seeing our little girl go through so much at such a young age, but I will never forget that Kim was there for our family in such a personal way when we needed someone like her the most. THANK YOU KIM from all of us.
