I wanted to recognize the nurse who saved my life. I was admitted with sepsis from pyelonephritis. Kristen was my nurse 2 days after I was admitted. My condition was deteriorating, and she never left my side. Kristen held my hair as I got sick, comforted me, she made multiple attempts to contact the doctor, being my advocate. She also did a wonderful job of not only caring for me but my mom. I went into septic shock and Kristen recognized it and did everything she could do to save me. I have her and the doctor to thank for saving my life. Kristen went as far as to check on me on her days off and come to see me on the next workday. I cannot begin to thank her enough for all of her compassion.
