I have worked with Kristi Croddy and watched her work as a staff nurse, a charge nurse, and advance into the role of PCC. She goes above and beyond to make patient's comfortable, providing warm blankets, allowing them to discuss their frustrations with her, advocating for her patients when she feels they need an extra voice. She speaks with family members and makes them feel just as important as the patients.
Kristi goes above and beyond the expectations and does her best to provide patients and families with the exceptional care and experience they deserve. Kristi is very good at de-escalating patients when they become frustrated due to longer wait times. She has given countless hours back to help with staffing as she works weekend shifts that are generally understaffed. When Kristi is charge nurse/PCC she not only keeps us physicians informed, the RNs informed, the house supervisor, and does the extra steps to provide exceptional care to the patients. Kristi never tells patients or staff she does not have time for them and makes time for each person, no matter how busy she may be. She is a true asset to the CHE ED.
Kristi is not only a high performer, she is a dedicated worker. She shows this not only with her dedication to increasing patient satisfaction and safety. She also is a mother of eight children, currently pursuing her master's degree, and writing a book. She is one of the most open minded, critical thinkers that contributes to our unit daily. She is exceptional and puts her heart into everything she does and goes unrecognized in many ways. She truly puts her patients and staff as her first and foremost concern and is well overdue for recognition of being a fundamental asset to the Community Health Network Team. Our department would be at a tremendous loss without her hard work and dedication to both patients and staff.
