Laci Watson was at my bedside during my toughest times. While the doctors did their jobs keeping us informed about my condition, it was nurse Laci who broke it down into simpler, easier to understand terms. She explained thoroughly both procedures that had to be been done and why. Of equal importance to me was her ability to keep up with my off-beat sense of humor.
Laci was caring, competent, and compassionate, evident when she intervened on my behalf after multiple attempts to insert a central line into my chest that did not go well. Her actions proved that she cared about me as a person, not just a patient. The calm professional and compassionate care she provides; and her good- humored nature are a direct reflection of her personal character, exemplifying the highest standards of the nursing profession.
