There isn't a day that goes by where I don't think about Lisa still. Her picture, along with the other 5 of us who went through pregnancy together (when she was pregnant with H) still hangs in my locker. Pregnancy while working on the Burn Unit with two-hour dressing changes and a growing belly is no easy feat, but I never once heard Lisa complain. She would just get her assignment every morning and dive in, and over break times we would all complain about heartburn and hormones. Lisa was a great nurse, sweet and always had a smile. She had a calming touch that always put patients at ease. Her heart was so full of love that is poured into every little thing she did. Burn is not an easy unit to work on, and she worked on it pregnant and excelled. Lisa, we love and miss you! But the mark you made on your Burn Unit Co-Workers and the patients you took care of will never be forgotten!

I worked with Lisa in the MICU when she was a brand-new nurse. I was so impressed with her kindness towards our patients and families. She always had a positive attitude and was so much fun to work with. Lisa was skilled in many areas; ICU, burn, Interventional Radiology and NICU. We will miss her so much.
She was a wonderful nurse, mother, and wife.

Lisa loved her role in the NICU. You can tell when someone is meant to work in the NICU because they are always happy to come to work and provide care to their babies. I use the words "their babies" because NICU nurses take on the role of a parent and we don't look at them as "our patients". Lisa gave her best every day and delivered exceptional care to her babies and quickly became friends with her co-workers in a short period of time. Lisa had a few roles as a nurse at HCMC but she ended up doing what we believe was her best role and that is a NICU nurse. Lisa was, is, and always will be a part of the NICU family.
