I really don't even know where to begin to explain how precious Madeline McMurray was to my family. I went in for a routine doctor's appointment and was immediately admitted for my water leaking at 26 weeks. It was a roller coaster ride for a week between being in labor and delivery and back and forth to high risk. My last night before I had my sweet baby, I was given this amazing nurse on night shift. She went way above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and taken care of.
Madeline was so patient and kind that I could never repay this back to her. The next morning seemed like a blur right at shift change when I was rushed into the OR to have a c-section. The one face I could remember being in there was Madeline's. She stayed over into day shift to be in the room with me because she knew how nervous and scared I was. She was there as a friendly face to calm my fears. She is the absolute best nurse I have ever had the pleasure of being with. This was my 3rd pregnancy and first time to deliver at Children's and Women's and if we ever decide to have another baby it would be this hospital, I would choose, all because of the kindness of a nurse named Madeline! She will forever hold a special place in the heart of this family!
