During my 31 day stay, Mandi was friendly, confident and compassionate. Always walked in with a smile. Did her best to make me comfortable. Even the days she wasn't assigned to my room, she would ask my family how I was doing. Demonstrated to be confident in what she did. An example of this is I had an NG tube placed when I arrived in the emergency room which was very painful (I wasn't given anything to numb my nostril). The NG tube was removed during my stay but then placed back. This time, my nostril was numbed and Mandi inserted the NG tube without hurting me. During my stay, I also had many IVs placed and removed. I lost count how many times I was poked in trial and error. She offered to relieve the pain of being poked by bringing hot packs to placeonmy arms. She was attentive every day she was assigned to my room. One day she noticed I was on the wrong type of bed/mattress and immediately had my bed switched. On another one of her shifts, she noticed I hadn't had any lab work for several days, she then got the approval and ordered labs. This nurse seems to be an individual who is not afraid to "think outside of the box". I believe any patient who has Mandi as a nurse is blessed to have a friendly, confident, and compassionate person caring for them.
