Margaret assumes many roles, bedside RN, charge RN & Nursing Supervisor. As a fellow RN, it has always been a pleasure to work next to (as a bedside RN), with (as a charge RN) and under (as the Nursing Supervisor). She has consistently demonstrated the ideal of nursing, in that she is a patient advocate, an exceptional care giver and a quality leader. As a bedside nurse she gives her patients the utmost in care, and provides their family a knowledge supportive resource in their most trying of times. As a charge nurse she is an excellent resource and goes above and beyond in making sure that her unit is working as a team, and providing each patient the best possible care. She has unfailing dedication to give each patient respect and quality nursing care. In the role of nursing supervisor she has shown superior judgment and fairness in decision making; a chore that is not easily accomplished.
In summary Margaret Taylor-Law is more than worthy of the DAISY Award as she has repeatedly shown what this award stands for -the extraordinary compassion nurses provide their patients and families every day. She has done so not only by providing these principles to her patients and their families but also to her co-workers and colleagues.
