It started with a sore throat, which led to an abscess in his throat, which caused his airway to shut down. My husband is a patient and it has been a nightmare. I brought my husband to the ER at 5:30 am and they called 3 code blues on him and had to perform a tracheostomy.
After all, I had gone through with my husband almost losing him three times due to no oxygen going in, I was very tense and my stress level was high. I was staying the night when Inez was his nurse at night. The minute I spoke with her, I felt the calmness. She explained every procedure to me at a level I could understand. She was extremely attentive to my husband. Not only did she take good care of my husband, but she made me calm and just by that I was able to understand what was going on. I knew I was in great hands. She is an angel sent from God.

My husband wants to thank Maria Inez because she has been extremely patient with me. My husband had 3 code blues and had been through a lot. She made sure he got cleaned up and bathed. She was always checking up not only on us, but I saw her going room to room making sure everyone was taken care of. I had a tremendous amount of stress and she calmed us down explaining everything and taking her time to make us feel at home. My husband is a living miracle as of today and was taken care of by an angel called Maria Inez. She is very professional at what she does. I admire Maria Inez, she is a great nurse!
