We cannot say enough wonderful things about Maureen. Having your nine-month-old in the hospital for several days is a terrifying experience, but Maureen was so calm and friendly, it made the experience that much easier. She would always come into the room with a smile, greet my son by name, and always interact with him unless he was sleeping. She would always peek through the window to see what he was doing before she came in to make sure if she needed to be quiet. Every time she left the room, she would always ask if we needed anything. She made sure I had food and that I knew where to get a shower. She brought in extra chairs when my parents and husband were all in the room.
When my son started to feel better, she told me where to get him toys to keep him busy and even brought him a highchair to make playing/eating easier. When he was pulling off his oxygen, she came up with different ways to help him keep it on.
Maureen was made to be a pediatric nurse. Not only did I see that, but my parents, husband, and sister all commented on how amazing she is.

Thank you to Maureen Hooker. Even though we only met her the morning we were leaving, she was careful in explaining all the paperwork and after surgery care.

Maureen would do anything to try to make me feel better or more comfortable. She exceeded all expectations. Anytime we needed something or had the slightest complaint, she was there to try and fix it. For example, I made a small complaint about the taste of the Tylenol, but it wasn't been a big deal. I was kind of just talking to myself and right away Maureen said she would go check for another flavor. Another time, I wanted baby wipes to wipe off any dirt from my face and she said she has something even better - shower wipes! If I'm feeling any discomfort, she'll quickly think of something to fix it. She also tried to save me from the obnoxious beeping of the IV machine with her timer. She would always come in right as it was about to finish to unplug me. Also, she would come in at random times to make sure I don't need anything.
