Missy Taylor exemplified the height of nursing when she was our nurse during a most difficult time, the delivery of our full-term stillborn daughter. There is only one word to think of to describe her; remarkable. She came into a situation where we were hysterical and having the worst day of our lives and she did everything in her power to make sure that we were as comfortable as possible. She cared about us in a way that we have never experienced in a hospital and it made a difference to us. Missy was very present, very sincere, she cried with us. She knew when there were no words and when to comfort. Her intuition was spot on and she gave us such calming comfort. Missy offered guidance, assurance, compassion and gave us the security we needed to manage the difficult task that lay before us. She was tremendously supportive, empathetic and knowledgeable. Everything she did was done with patience and love. Missy was our rock through many terrible hours. We will never forget the care she gave us. We have been able to preserve a peaceful memory of our daughter and her delivery thanks in large part to Nurse Missy who gave us her presence of sympathy, her care, and her tears. Missy made a terrible situation bearable, we will be back to have our next child at St Joe's because we know we will be in good hands. Thank you.
