Nai-Ling Yeh exemplifies the kind of nurse that the patients and families as well as the nurses, physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary team recognize as an outstanding role model. She is the kind of person who's there when you need her without even having to ask, and no task is too big or too small, too messy, or too...anything!!!!

It's clear her patients are her first priority. There was a woman in a wheelchair that came into our clinic just a couple minutes before closing who was crying and distraught saying her bandage had been wrapped too tight and she thought a needle had been left in her arm. The patient had sought help in the clinic that applied the bandage but that area was closed and the patient was having extreme pain. Nai-Ling overheard the commotion and without even asking what the situation was dropped everything and ran up to the front and immediately helped the patient, got her bandage off, calmed her down and sat down with her to talk about what had happened. It might not seem like a lot, but to this patient it made the world of difference.

Time and time again, Nai-Ling has shown that she is willing to go the extra mile. Even if the situation in question has nothing to do with her, even when she's got several other things all going at once, she's there and ready to help with whatever she can, and she does so with a smile on her face.
